Sad and happy this is the last day of Fringe. Today we started with Red Bastard in Acacia Hall. We laughed the entire show, but I was terrified I was going to be singled out to perform some antic, then sad when I wasn’t. We managed to get home for a few minute breather, then…
Fun Fringe!
The 12 block walk today included another pit stop at Holy Trinity Anglican Church to watch the Maltese Bodkin. An interesting play where time collides as Shakespeare’s best meets a 1930’s private eye with a defective lighter. The show was highly entertaining, and for a two hour play, the time went quickly. However, prior to…
Fruitcake Fringe
Our walk last night found us in the middle of Fringe, and to fortify ourselves for our show, we found a nice bar that served a delicious Bull Dog. What’s a Bull Dog you ask? It’s a Slurpee type of margarita with a baby bottle of Corona tipped upside down in it. Delicious. I am…
Francophone Fringe
Attended Spiral Dive: Episode One on Marie-Anne Gaboury at La Cite Francophone. Nice venue!! The show was terrific, artful, skillful. Deserves all it’s stars, and I look forward to Episode Two on Sunday. Because of time, was not able to walk to La Cite Francophone, but did manage to get my daily walk in. Did…
Frowning Fringe
Yesterday, the walk was a short one, but a walk nonetheless. Went to the Yardbird Suite to see Manners for Men at the Fringe. One word: Depressing. Suited my mood though – was down in the dumps yesterday. Today I expect to get in a happier place as I am seeking out narcotics to dull…
Phenomenal Phringe!
Last night’s walk got Michael into a seat (I should say seats, lest you think I sat on his lap the entire time) at the lovely Varscona to see The Oculist’s Holiday by Stewart Lemoine. What a show! Michael and I had no preconceived idea what the story was about, but both of us for…
Fringe Frange Frunge
Same 12 block walk around the neighbourhood, with a pit stop at Holy Trinity for the show A Final Whimsy. No stops tonight at the beer garden. Went to the show on me own, and was pleasantly surprised to find my hubby waiting for me outside when the show was over. We completed the walk…
Fine Fringe!
Sunday’s walk was once again through the neighbourhood. It was a longish walk, with three distinct pit stops. Pit stop 1: Holy Trinity Anglican Church to watch the Fringe show: John Denver: Rocky Mountain Memories. This is my third SWAK production, and the third time I’ve become a fan of a group I was indifferent…
Fabbo Fringe
Strolled through Fringe enroute to coffee. Had to stroll, it was a madhouse of humanity. Wandered along 82 Ave on the way home, stopped for cupcakes for tea, and candy to rot our teeth. A nice walk. The challenge today is attending a Fringe show at 10:30 p.m. I am usually asleep on the couch…
Fantastic Fringe
Took the 12 block walk, but added a loop through the Fringe to buy a green onion cake to share as our appetizer before dinner. Although a coolish night, the Fringe appeared to be well attended. The green onion cake was delicious.
