Garage Sale!

Looking for something to do this weekend? Thinking of making sauerkraut, but wish you had a traditional cabbage shredder and giant ceramic crocks in which to let the cabbage do its sauerkraut thing?

Well, hop in your car, and drive West on highway 16. About an hour into your drive, turn south (left) on Range Road 55A (if you hit the Seba Beach overpass, you’ve gone too far. Take the overpass, head back towards Edmonton, then take your first right). When heading south on Range Road 55A, take your first right into the farm yard.

My grandpa has sold the farm, and we’re having a garage sale to get rid of “stuff”. There is a bunch of stuff. Tools. Drills. Saws. Dishes. Ancient cookware. Old bed frames. A rototiller. But in among the stuff, I found these crocks and cabbage shredder. If Michael and I had the room, I would have taken them myself.

The sale runs Saturday 9 – 5, and Sunday 10 – 3. The village of Seba Beach has its own little farmer’s market on Saturday, which runs from 11 to 12:30. Michael and I will be at the farm on Sunday. Find us, it would be nice to meet you.

Shucks was away in the Camrose area or I would have come did you bring home any treasures?

Let's put it this way. Everything found a home. As for treasures, it's the memories that hold the most value for me. As for solid objects, I came home with a few things. A foot stool that is currently covered in a piece of red shag carpeting, a picture of Jesus that used to terrify me as a child, and the ubiquitous aerial photo of the farm.
