Hello, allow me to introduce myself. I am Cathy Walsh, cubicle dweller by day, blogger and social media addict by night.
This here blog is primarily about food. Because I love food. Food is easy to write about. I write about food that I cook. You cook. My Mom cooks. Your chef cooks.
You will also notice that my best friend Michael is featured in many of my posts. That’s because we’re married and happen to like to do the same sorts of things. Michael cooks too. He is on regular Sunday morning toast duty while fixing breakfast. Occasionally he’ll treat me to his perfectly cooked soft-boiled eggs, grilled cheese sandwiches, and his rarely made, but oh so delicious stuffed pork tenderloin (known in his world as pork steak) along with apple sauce, rich brown gravy and potatoes.
My blog started as a fun and frivolous way to write about something that I knew about. I enjoy writing quite a bit, and writing about food was a natural fit. To my utter joy and amazement Walsh Cooks has become quite popular in the blogosphere. Feedback and comments has encouraged me to continue working on my writing. The blog has even morphed enough that food blog doesn’t quite sum it up anymore. I now officially call it a food and lifestyle blog.
Michael and I have met many interesting people, seen Edmonton in ways we probably would not otherwise have, had I not started writing this blog. It has opened many doors, and has created many new friendships for Michael and I. We are absolutely delighted by this, and hope one day, we will get to meet you!
